The real estate investment was made in a partially leased commercial office building where Bill completed the lease out, managed the property and subsequently sold the building for a profit in July of 2003. After this transaction, the real estate business transitioned into Robertson Development which was created in December of 2005. Robertson Development built a retail shopping center from the ground up in Gulfport, MS. The property was sold for a profit in August of 2014.

Big River Real-Estate was created as a Delaware entity and began acquiring Florida tax liens in June of 2009. Big River Real-Estate became a Mississippi entity in January 2010. Big River Real-Estate purchased, renovated and managed residential rental houses during the Great Recession.
